Kathmandu, Nepal - The Embassy of India in Kathmandu successfully hosted the Indian Ambassador’s Invitational Golf Tournament 2026 at the picturesque Gokarna Forest Resort, bringing together golf enthusiasts, senior officials, diplomats, and distinguished guests for a celebration of sportsmanship and friendship.

Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Shri Naveen Srivastava, Ambassador of India to Nepal, congratulated the winners and commended all participants for their enthusiastic and spirited participation. He highlighted the role of sports in strengthening people-to-people ties and deepening the longstanding friendship between Nepal and India.

In a significant gesture aimed at nurturing the next generation of golfing talent in Nepal, Ambassador Srivastava presented NPR 100,000 each to two promising young Nepali golfers, reaffirming India's commitment to supporting youth and sporting excellence in the country.

The tournament underscored the spirit of camaraderie, healthy competition, and the growing role of sports diplomacy in enhancing bilateral relations between Nepal and India.
